January & February 2025 Release Notes

Written by Laura Gee | March 5, 2025

To kick off the year, the Drip team has been working on new features & enhancements that will help accelerate purchase times and maximize customer lifetime value over the entire customer lifecycle.

We've got a lot of exciting things coming this year, but first up is date-based automations, improving our Facebook Lead Ads integration, and continued UX improvements.

Date-Based Workflow Triggers & Delays

Part one of date-based Workflows is here. Save time by triggering automated emails on, before, or after a specific date leading up to a one-time event, and create looping workflows based on a date. See how it works with our new Pre-Event Series Workflow Template.

Here's what’s new:

  • Workflow triggers can now relate to specific dates. Trigger subscribers into Workflows on, before, or after a specific date.
  • Workflow triggers can reoccur on a predefined weekly, monthly, or yearly schedule.
    • Note: Add a Trigger filter to avoid triggering the Workflow for your entire list.
  • Delay nodes support delays until specific dates. Send workflow emails or delay other actions until specific dates.
  • Delay nodes will behave differently when changing the delay length. If a subscriber has been waiting for 2 days at a 10-day delay node, and you change the delay to 5 days, that subscriber will now be released 3 days later (previously the subscriber would’ve waited the full 10 days).

Up next: Date-based custom fields are on deck. Soon you’ll be able to seamlessly implement automated birthday/ anniversary emails, membership renewal emails, and any other custom date-based milestones that are important for your customers.

Enhancements

  • People who are Unsubscribed will be automatically re-activated if they submit a Lead Form via Facebook.
  • Improved UX for one-click unsubscribe subscription management.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved an issue causing the segment picker to break and infinitely load when using the "By date received in the last" or "By date not received in the last" filter criteria while selecting recipients for a Single Email Campaign.
  • Resolved an issue causing the autosave feature to not work properly in split test variations, leading to lost changes and continuous loading when attempting to restore a previous save.
  • Resolved an issue causing YouTube links without "www." to not redirect correctly, leading to a broken page.
  • Resolved an issue causing triggers with event property filters to stop working when the property value contained both capital letters and spaces.
  • Resolved an issue causing workflow delays set to a person’s time zone to default to UTC instead, leading to emails being sent at incorrect times.
